Woman charges for stealing, selling DepEd tablets

Department of Education tablets were stolen by a 34-year old woman.

A report from the office of Col. Jeff Fanged, Pangasinan Police Provincial Office, identified the suspect as Jenny Aguila of San Juan, La Union.

Jimmy de Guzman Cancio, Pantal Elementary School principal, file a complaint against Aguila for stealing 10 Teclast model TLA007 tablets and seven chargers issued to the school on June 24.

Investigation said that on Sept. 20 at about 8:45 a.m., Rosario Cason, Administrative Officer II of the school, discovered that the tablets were missing.

Aguila, live-in partner of school utility worker Jeffrey Garcia admitted that she stole the gadgets.

According to Aguila, she sold them for P500 to P1,000 each to have money.

Six of them were recovered and were properly turned over to the school.
