The Department of Education says resumption face-to-face classes as biggest contribution to the first 100 days of the administration of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

Vice President and  DepEd Secretary Sara Duterte said the resumption of face-to-face classes was among the agency’s wins, adding that they are still assessing the “institutionalization of blended learning and online classes in basic education”.

Duterte also said the new administration was able to “sustain the review of the K to Grade 10 program from the previous administration and is set to start reviews for Grades 11 and 12.”

“The DepEd, under the leadership of President Bongbong Marcos Jr. is committed to the goal for all Filipinos to realize their full potential and contribute meaningfully to a cohesive nation through the protection and promotion of the right to education,” said Duterte.

Further, Duterte said the administration adopted the Basic Education Development Plan 2030 (BEDP 2030).

“BEDP 2030 is designed to address the immediate impacts of the pandemic on learning participation, and education delivery, address the remaining access gaps, improve education quality and build resilience,” Duterte added.
